Welcome to my website, which as you can see is very much 'under development!'. I am based in Sheffield and provide a broad range of IT services mostly to the voluntary/non-profit making sector in South Yorkshire. I service 4 out of the 5 Citizen's Advice Bureaux in Sheffield, as well as a string of advice centres in Sheffield and Rotherham, a primary school in Derbyshire and a number of other voluntary sector agencies. I have never advertised but have relied on the recommendation of satisfied customers to increase my clientelle. However as the number of my website creations increases, it seems silly not to establish a website of my own - so what you see here are the beginnings of this.

Typically, I will advise clients how they can most cheaply and effectively use IT to improve their organisation. I talk in plain English and have good social skills! I specify, source and install whatever equipment or solution is needed. I have accounts with all the main IT distributors in the UK and am happy to supply equipment at internet prices, and be paid for my time to make it all work. This is unusual in this sector, where consultants will typically markup items by large amounts. I supply PCs, printers, consumables and I install networks from scratch, including servers and mail servers. Microsoft Software is heavily subsidised in the voluntary sector, so I tend to supply and install this. I am a 'Microsoft Authorised Education Reseller', which means I can supply schools and charities serving the community with cheap volume licenses. I am an official reseller for ESET NOD antivirus software and Gradwell VOIP telephony services - both are the best quality brands for these technologies.

I also maintain a number of web servers which are all Linux based. I have a mailserver on one of these running a finely tuned version of 'Spam Assassin' and I am able to massively reduce client's daily intake of spam using this.
